FAQs - Other questions and answers

Q. How do I get my dimensions?

A. We suggest you take 3 measurements of both width and height. If your ceiling or walls are more than 15 mm out, then you will need to pack and square the opening. Please call for advice if you are unsure.

Q. I have a sloping ceiling?

A. We can supply angled ceiling adaptors to fit your wardrobe doors. Our interior readily adapts to sloping ceilings. Please see our picture gallery and call for advice if needed.

Q. Is it possible to have a sample of the glass?

A. Of course, please contact us and we will be happy to supply you with a sample.

Q. My walls are wobbly?

A. We suggest you pack and trim the fillets. We can also supply an end panel retainer to help with the wobbly walls. Please see our picture gallery.

Q. Why do I need a liner/surround?

A. If you have a skirting board, you will definitely need a liner otherwise the wardrobe door will close against the skirting board leaving a gap up against the wall.

Q. Do I need a threshold?

A. Yes you do, as this helps you pack the bottom track up more robustly, however, if you have a wooden floor, you may wish to stick the track down with double sided tape or other adhesive to the floor.

Q. Is there any weight on the top track?

A. No, the top track is an E shape and bears no weight and can be fixed with cavity fixings. All of the weight of the doors is on the floor.

Q. What tools will I need?

A. You will only need a small degree of DIY talent, a helping hand and a cup of tea! A cordless drill, hacksaw, wood saw, levels small and large, selection of drill bits, screwdrivers. Fixings (we can supply a mixed bag of fixings if required).

Q. I love the products but I am no "DIYER". Can you put me in touch with someone who can fit it for me?

A. We have a number of independent installers who may be able to help. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q. Is there any guarantee with the products?

A. Yes, 10 years on the wardrobe and interior.

Q. Are there any height and width restrictions for my installation?

A. Yes there are, for a standard installation the maximum height is 2500 mm. The minimum width for a door panel is 450 mm and maximum width is 900 mm. The overall width we can reach is 5 metre. If you need a bigger installation please call for advice.

Q. My ceiling height exceeds the maximum door height. What can I do?

A. We have opening height reducers which will help you pack down and you can use end panels to cover over. A similar method can be used for the width if you need it.

Q. Do the prices include VAT?

A. Yes, they do.

Q. How do I clean my glass sliding wardrobe doors?

A. You may use any dilute domestic liquid glass cleaner and wipe clean with a piece of kitchen roll/tissue paper or a clean lint free cloth. Do not use any white powder cleaners as they will get behind the glass frames and cause damage to the finish of the glass. Only apply light pressure to the Branston/Frosted effect glass pattern when cleaning as this could remove the frosting effect. If you have a small defect on the glass, if you can see a reflection of it, it is probably on the surface, so it can quite possibly be cleaned off.

Q. Do I need to buy the tracks for the doors separately?

A. No, these are included with the doors and will be delivered with your order.
